A Webcast is the same media file, only instead of downloading for later use, the file is listened to or watched right there from the website.

Streaming media is the same principle as Webcasting, in that it is watched or listened to by the viewer, while they are on the internet.  The difference is that streamed files are usually much larger, they are usually video, and longer with more content information.
